Nila Sagadevan was born in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) and
educated in Britain. In addition to having played leading
roles in several national television commercials, Nila
was the featured guest in a television documentary on
extraterrestrial phenomena that was broadcast in the
United States. Nila also produced and hosted a syndicated
radio program, The Open Mind, that reached over a million
listeners in the US and Europe. Nila offers oral and
written communications products to such clients as American
Airlines, Hewlett Packard, NASDAQ, Sony, Travelodge,
and others.
Following an award-winning essay on race relations
in America (Melanin Wont Melt), Nilas first
published book, Warpaint Of The Gods (Truepenny Press,
2004), led to an invitation, by the Humanities faculty
of the University of London, to speak at the United
Nations conference in Prague commemorating the 25th
anniversary of the UN Declaration on The Elimination
of Intolerance based on Religion or Belief. More
